Showcase Guidelines
The Show
1. The Next Shining Stars Showcase is for R&B singers and musicians, only.
2. TNSS will run for (6) six weeks in Chicago, Ill.
3. There will be a total of (5) five weeks of preliminary shows leading up to one final show The winner will go home with $10,000 in cash and prizes and a trip to the national finals in Miami.
4. Each show will be video and audio taped live and premier weekly on the TNSS website. Please visit TNSS’ website www.TheNextShiningStars.net .
5. Last, this is a no complimentary ticket production.
Singers & Musicians
1. All artists are required to sing popular past or present R&B cover tunes. (No original music NO EXCEPTIONS)!
2. Eight (8) different artists will compete, each week, accompanied by a live band, in front of a live audience, for the duration of five weeks.
3. One artist from each show will be chosen to advance to the Regional Finals.
4. The artist with the second highest votes will move on to the next show and will be given another opportunity to advance to the Finals.
5. One artist, that receives the most votes from our Internet audience, will be given the opportunity to advance to the Finals. This artist will be named “Wild Card contestant” bringing the total of Finalists to six.
6. Additionally, one artist will be selected by the audience and judges, from the Finalist as the Grand Prize winner of $10,000 in Cash and Prizes. The Regional Winner will automatically advance to the national finals in Miami, scheduled for November 17th.
7. Artists participating in TNSS will be chosen from the Auditions.
8. Artists chosen at the callbacks must complete the full Registration Process.
9. Artists who receive callbacks must be prepared to sing three (3) past or present R&B jams (cover tunes).
10. Artists who receive a callback will be notified by phone and e-mail.
Judges
1. The Next Shining Stars Showcase will be judged by the audience attending each performance, five (5) industry professionals, and viewers from the TNSS Website. www.TheNextShiningStars.net
2. Audience members attending The Next Shining Stars Showcase will be given a ballot card as they enter the venue and will be asked to place their vote, at the end of the competition, for who they think should win the evening’s competition.
3. Five industry professionals will also be given a score card to rate the individual performance of each artists.
4. The score cards and ballots will be calculated for the evening and the winner will be announced at the end of the show.
5. The “Wildcard contestant” will be announced on the local radio station as well as the TNSS website on June 11th 2007 and notified by phone and e-mail.

• Rehearsal and performance schedule
-Artists performing in the showcase must pay $250 for the registration process.
Note: The registration process has been divided into 2 Phases. Phase 1 will consist of completing the Information Kit. And, Phase 2 will consist of a photo session, wardrobe fitting, TNSS merchandise distribution, email assignments, and band rehearsal scheduling.
Regional Grand Prize
Grand prize includes: $5000 cash + Prize value of $5000 (16 hour Studio block ▪ EPK Video shoot ▪ Photo shoot ▪ Bio Composition ▪ Three National live performances ▪ Consultation from Associated Talent Management) All expense paid trip to the National Finals in Miami, to Compete for $50,000 in cash and prizes, the taping of their very own Reality TV show pilot, and a major record deal.
